WA 20th ANNIVERSARY SCHOOL SHOW at LEATHERHEAD THEATRE

Uniform

Please make sure that pupils are wearing correct uniform. Dancia International in Ewell has new owners and are rebranding as The Dance Boutique. http://www.danceboutique.co.uk

They have stock of the blue leotards and skirts for beginner pupils and all the dance shoes. Please note their opening hours are: 

Thursday and Friday: 10am – 5pm

Saturday: 9.30am – 5pm 

New uniform will be available to purchase on Saturdays at Richard Challoner as follows:

Black leotards and skirts for seniors, blue leotards and skirts for Grade 2 ballet and above, purple leotards for JA pupils and black shorts for Modern, as well as tights and socks.

Please make sure that all uniform is labelled.

The second hand sales usually take place on the first Saturday of each term at Challoner between 9am and 11am. The next sale will be held on Saturday, 11 January. We would be very happy to sell any uniform your child has grown out of (apart from ballet shoes which mould to the child’s feet), on your behalf, especially first style blue leotards and skirts, with just a £1 handling fee per item.

Notice to stop classes

Parents are reminded that notice of one half term is required if pupils wish to stop classes, otherwise fees will still be required. As per the WA policies and regulations, no refunds can be given for missed classes. 

Parking

Please take care when driving in and out of Challoner and follow the instructions of the site staff. Please observe the one way system by driving in the gate that leads to the main entrance and exit via the playground side of school. 

Cafe and Local Shops

A reminder that only Secondary school age pupils are permitted in the cafe area without parental supervision.  Payment can only be accepted using debit or credit cards so please do not send your children in with cash for snacks as they will not be served. 

Everyone is responsible for keeping the area tidy so please use the bins provided. Parents are reminded that children should not be allowed to play in the Canteen area or on the stairs.

Secondary school-age pupils must be wearing appropriate clothing over their leotards and tights if they wish to go to the local shops during breaks between classes

Classes on Strike Days

Classes will go ahead on strike days providing the schools remain open. We will post on the members Facebook page if there are any changes to the dates given.

Face Coverings

In line with the latest government guidance, face coverings are no longer compulsory but we remind all parents and pupils to show respect and give each other space in the communal areas at Challoner. 

Security At Challoner

Challoner’s security system means the inner doors through to the hallway will be locked for safety reasons. Parents collecting from weekday classes are able to wait in the Reception area. Pupils arriving for weekday classes should wait in the Reception area until their dance teacher is available, usually about 15 minutes before classes begin.

ARRANGEMENTS DUE TO SCHOOL CLOSURE 

If Corpus Christi or Richard Challoner Schools are closed for health and safety reasons  or because of bad weather, no WA classes will be running. Updates will be posted on our website and Facebook page. Unfortunately, if classes have to be cancelled, no alternative dates will be available or reimbursements paid.
